Commissioning Intentions Events
We would like your views on local health services in your area and what you feel the health priorities should be for 2016/17.
We would like to welcome you to attend an event on:
Wednesday 9th September – 3.30pm – 5.00pm OR 5.30pm – 7.00pm, Grand Hotel, Swainson Street, Hartlepool, TS24 8AA
Thursday 10th September – 3.30pm – 5.00pm OR 5.30pm – 7.00pm, Communications Hub, North Shore Academy, Talbot Street, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2AY
NHS Staff and GP’s will be there to discuss our proposed commissioning (purchasing) priorities and would like to know your feedback.
The events will:
- Inform you about our NHS healthcare work and discuss and share our proposed commissioning intentions for 2016-17
- Give you an opportunity to consider and discuss our proposed health plans for 2016-17

Monday 13 July – developing local health services event
We would like to invite local people to get involved and contribute towards the development of health services provided in the community.
The CCG is hosting two events on Monday 13th July and would like to encourage people to come along. The events are:
12noon – 1.30pm at the Community Zone, North Shore Academy, Talbot Street, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2AY
3pm – 4.30pm at the Sir William Grey Suite, Hartlepool Maritime Experience, Maritime Avenue, Hartlepool, TS24 0SX
Both events will begin with an introduction to community services followed by round-table discussions on the following subjects:
- Podiatry/Musculoskeletal – Looked After Children
- Diabetes – Speech and Language Therapy
- Continence – Coronary Heart Disease
- Palliative Care – Heart Failure

Market Engagement events:
A market engagement event has been arranged for 17th July 2015 from 14:00-17:00 at Billingham Forum to allow allow organisations from across all sectors to access funding for a 12 month period to test initiatives which will support the CCG in attaining the outcomes they wish to achieve for people with a mental health condition and or a learning disability.
The purpose of this event will be to outline the CCGs requirements, detail the procurement process and will also provide a networking opportunity for potential provider organisations who wish to explore collaborative working.

Public engagement events:
NHS Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) held two events in October which invited you to get involved and contribute towards the development of ‘Commissioning Intentions’ for local health services in your community.
The events were held at the Stockton Baptist Tabernacle and Hartlepool Maritime Experience.
Commissioning intentions is a discussion on what the CCG plans to do to improve NHS services in the coming year, using a set timetable to ensure we achieve what we have set out to do.
Topics of discussion at the events included;
• CCG commissioning plans
• Out of hospital care
• In hospital care
• Health and wellbeing
• Learning disabilities
• Adult and children’s mental health

Our Annual General meeting (AGM) took place on 25 September, 6.30pm – 7.30pm, at St Bede College, Marsh House Avenue, Billingham, TS23 3HB.
